It has been some time since I last blogged. Pardon my previous entry, it was written in a rush and in the content it has nothing to do with the subject. Plus, I have basically forgotten what i've wanted to write at that very moment.
Well, here I am blogging again. So many things have happened in this past 2 months. Being in an entirely new environment, at this point, I do not have any regrets over my rather impromtu decision of resigning and joining a another Big 4 in Singapore. Or maybe my time of 'regretness' has yet to come. During the first few weeks, it was tough for me being alone in a foreign country but I was thankful I have someone to rely on. My Alec.
And thanks to the internet, I can talk, chat and see my family online. This infact sooth my lonely heart and reduce my home sickness. The thing i miss the most is my family, miss the days of nagging at my two naughty sisters, commanding them to clean the house, forcing them to study, nagging at my mum's book keeping, nagging at my dad for smoking.. sigh.. I miss the days of nagging. Haha.. but God is great and merciful, he gives me ALEC! My replacement for my family, so instead I nag at 4 people, I just concentrate my nagging at him. Haha.. and oh yeah, Alec's admit that I am annoying :P. Just can't help it la... nagging is part of Me! Me^Lissa.
So far, I have made quite a number of friends within the firm, thanks to the training and great orientation. I must say, the training here is much more better and effective, the presenters are mostly 'Ang moh' so, their public speaking is amazingly interesting and informative. It was fun, I must say, and I was actually listening rather than Pseudo-listening like I used to when I was back in Msia.
The Orientation during the first week was FANTASTIC! Great food, great place & people are just so friendly! I like the diverse environment here, people tend to be more open and friendlier. That one single night, I have made more friends that I have back in Msia.
Apart from the great culture, the other thing I like about being in Singapore is the GREAT SALES. Holy Cow! The shops here will have any reason to hold a sale, Pre-National Day sales, National Day Sales, Post-National Day sales, Serious Sales, Very Serious Sales ... haha.. G2000 was having a crazy sales last 2 weeks, a set of suit cost less than SGD80! Darn! No wonder everyone is wearing branded all the time, the things are so darn cheap! In addition, I have also checked out Coach bags, and it is 50% cheaper than back in Msia. I wish I can spend more but conscience won't let me, I have already bought 15 clothes and dresses online and to be shipped back home Msia.. :P. So can't buy anymore.. hehe
When I was in Msia, I was always rushing to work, to class, to home. Waste 4 hours of my youth everyday to travel to work n class but HERE.. I have soo much time in hand (Okay la, maybe cause I haven't been assigned to any work yet, wait till my next post where I will start to complain). I bought 2 Dan Brown books and a cooking book (Oh yeah, books here are cheap too).
Alright time to stop boosting now, :P. Time for facial :P...
Why I love my guy,
Being an a** like me who know nuts about road, I am thankful that I've met Alec. Why? He's my road-saviour, my talking compass, my 24/7 help-line and my all-time patient lil' pretty boy (haha, laugh for all you want, that's what my friend told me).
Alright, back to the story. (If you are wondering why on earth an I writing this down, it is not just I want to let the whole wide world to know but the truth is that, I keep misplacing my diary and forgetiing the file name, SO, placing it online will be a practical thing to do. Plus, being an absent-minded busy girl, I am afraid such memories will be auto-deleted once the storage reached the maximum capacity)
To the only Man who had dedicated his life to us! My Daddy...
You’re the man
You’ve started with nothing,
But only with a pair of hand,
Indeed, you’re the man.
A humble story of a humble man,
With a supportive wife to lend a hand,
With a strong determination and little knowledge,
You’ve started your career with bravery and courage.
In the sea of uncertainties,
You’ve cleared all the doubts and worries,
Failure is never in your dictionary,
Indeed, you deserved a victory.
Every penny that you’ve earned,
Contains millions of suffering unheard,
You and mum have been through thick and thin,
Now, she’s thick and you’re still thin.
You only want to give us the best,
Tripled your work and refused to rest,
And everything has started,
With just a pair of hand,
Indeed, You are Our Man!

2nd May 2007 will marked the end of my service in Ernst & Young. To be more precise a year's anniversary, the very same day that I have started my journey of being an auditor a year ago.
During my journey here, I have met a lot of people with different personality and background but with one main common attitude.. ALL OF THEM ARE HIGH ACHIEVERS and HARD WORKERS.
Having a bunch of understanding and caring colleagues and superiors it has somehow lifted my spirit and made my stay in EY much more memorable.
They day I tendered my resignation, a flood of emotion cloud my mind. Am I doing the right thing? Is Singapore is really the place for me? I do not know.
Sigh, 2nd July 2007, is the start of a new chapter in my life. Am I looking forward to it? Of course I do, but before that I have another hurdle to complete.. JUNE ACCA EXAM.. SIGH!!!
Bye Bye EY Malaysia
Hello KPMG Singapore
2nd May 2006 - 2nd May 2007
Started my journey in EY on 2nd May 2006 and will end it on the same day, 2nd May 2007. Will blog more when the mood is right.. busy!!
Late at night when all the world is sleeping
I stay up late and think of you and I wish on a star
That somewhere you are thinking of me too
'Cause I'm dreaming of you tonight
'Til tomorrow I'll be holding you tight
And there's nowhere in the world I'd rather be
Than here in my room dreaming about you and me
Wonder if you ever see me and I wonder if you
Know I'm there
If you looked in my eyes would you see what's inside
Would you even care
I just wanna hold you close but so far
All I have are dreams of you
So I wait for the day and the courage to say
How much I love you
I can't stop dreaming of you
Late at night when all the world is sleeping I stay up and think of you And I still can't believe that
You came up to me and said I love you
I love you too
I'll be dreaming with you tonight 'Til tomorrow and for all of my life And there's nowhere in the world I'd rather be
Than here in my room dreaming with you endlessly.
***Dreaming of you***
Just attended my cousin wedding last week and boy, the stage is huge! (it was a former cinema). She looks stunning with her pretty bridal dress and her groom looks smart (How i wish Alec is this tall hehe.. dun marah ye..).
Well, I am not really close with my cousins but nevertheless, wish you (Alexie) and William a wonderful life ahead.
Welcome William to the Lows (hehe.. THE Lows... )
Well, i didn;t bring my digicam (since it was alr spoilt many million yrs ago) so here r the snap shots (mostly my pics hehe... too lazy to fight with the paparazzi for pic..)
Hear no evil, Talk No evil n See No Evil,
In my quest to be a gossipless girl, DO NOT SHARE ANY POTENTIAL HOT NEWS OR GOSSIP THAT MAY TARNISH THE IMAGE OF ANOTHER PERSON WHERE MY HARMLESS COMMENT WILL BE TWIST N TURN INTO A DISASTEROUS REMARK.
In this cruel world, trust noone, not even the one you are VERY CLOSE TO! I am soooo thankful that I am going off to Singapore soon... away from all UNNECESSARY POLITICS...
The REASONS I AM GOING OFF TO SG ARE
1. Better Pay
2. To finance my house (Yes, I have a share of this beautiful cottage)
3. Better opportunity
4. To realised my dream of going oversea permanently (Since I can't study oversea, I wanna work oversea)
And NOT
1. Cause of my BF
Why I deserve such a freedom?
1. I am 22 years old (ALready)
2. I scored in every DAMN examination.
3. I made my parents VERY PROUD when I stand on the stage with a first class degree honour in my hand.
4. I stop taking allowance from my parents since I started working part-time while keeping my grades in college.
5. I worked in one of the BIG 4 international firm.
6. I was a FULL SCHOLARSHIP student.
7. I help my dad with his accounts.
8. I have NEVER, NEVER trouble nor embarass my parents in ANYWAY.
9. I teach and coach my sisters to follow my footsteps (Though the youngest sister kind of lost track...)
SO, Can you pleaseeeeeee give me any reason of me NOT BEING A FILIAL DAUGHTER?
Puhleeeeeze give me some comment!
